Nintendo revealed The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on Switch

Yesterday, at the Nintendo Direct, the Kyoto firm has surprised everyone by announcing The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on Switch, a remake of the eponymous game released 26 years ago on Game Boy in 1993.

The game get a complete redesign of its graphics, but Nintendo reassures us and tells us that we will find "many elements of the original Game Boy version, like 2D platform sequences".

Nintendo therefore plays the nostalgic fiber and takes no risk with this "new" Zelda. The release date is announced for 2019.
