The new Nintendo Switch Lite

Many rumors had reported a smaller Nintendo Switch. The Kyoto firm made it a reality and introduced a smaller version, less expensive and dedicated exclusively to the portable game, the Nintendo Switch Lite.

Sold at €199.99, it has a 5.5 inch LCD screen (1280 x 720), smaller than the classic model that measures 6.2 inches. The two main differences between these two models are the inability to connect to a TV via the dock and directly integrated controls. This new console is compatible with all Switch games that can be used in portable mode, and it will be possible to connect Joy-Con via wireless communication.

The Nintendo Switch Lite will ship 32GB of expandable storage space via a microSD card and a custom Nvidia Tegra processor. Nintendo announces that the battery can last more than six hours depending on the game, for a charge time of three hours.

Scheduled for September 20, the Nintendo Switch Lite will be offered in three colors: yellow, gray and turquoise.
